Our first year of Dog Bowl Competiton was very successful. We held our final competition on April 22 at the Hillborough Dog Show. Seven teams participated and even the parents got involved. The competition came to a close and exciting conclusion. The winning team was Polk County's Bad to the Bonz consisting of Kimberly Coleman, Kristen Coleman, Tabitha Coleman and Adam Bracewell.A very close second was Go Dog Go from Volusia County: Shelby Adams, Christina Roberts, Anastasia Gamble and Jarad Dollar.

I want to complement all the students, leaders and parents for their interest and willingness to add one more thing to a busy agenda. I also want to thank Katherine Croft for her hard work preparing all the questions. We welcome anyone interested in joining the Dog Bowl Committee to a meeting at the Showmanship Seminar on July 29 in Tampa. And we look forward to Year Two of Dog Bowl Competition.
