Cassie Hare is a 10 year old junior handler with the
Heartlanders 4H Dog Club in Highlands County. Cassie, and her chocolate lab,
Koda, have been a member of the Heartlanders 4H Dog Club for three years.
Cassie and Koda have competed in the Florida State Fair the last two years.
Last year Cassie and Koda placed overall third in Agility at the Florida State
Fair, and got blue ribbons for Agility, Showmanship, and Obedience. They also
competed in the Polk County Fun Show, and the Doggone Crazy Dog Show. Being
best friends,

they spend all of their free time together.Besides
trainingwith her 4H Dog Club, Cassie and Koda also take additional Showmanship
and Obedience training through the Heartland AKC Dog Club on Wednesday nights.

with Koda in hopes of
participating in an AKC Dog Show this year.

Cassie participated in several community service
projects last year with her 4H Club. Her club replaced all of the signs on the
storm drains around Lake Jackson, walked in the Sebring Christmas Parade,
worked at the Heartlanders Dog Club Booth at the CCC Festival, and participated
in the Highlands Hammock State Park Clean Up Day. This year Cassie is President
of her 4H Club and already has numerous ideas for community service projects
for this year.
The two best things Cassie likes about 4H is the time she gets
to spend with Koda and all of the new friendships (kids and dogs) she has made
over .the past two years. The Heartlanders 4H Dog Club Rocks!
