KT
Spencer is a mature and accomplished junior dog handler. KT started showing in
the early summer of 2005 and has proven her self time and time again in
companion events as well as the junior showmanship ring. KT's career in the
ring began at the age of eight in Michigan and continued as her family moved to
Florida in 2003. In 2005, KT earned the prestigious title of the UKC National
Junior Obedience Champion. She was also ranked in the top ten junior handlers
for Region 5 for UKC Junior Obedience. During this time, KT also began working
on AKC Rally and Obedience

and has since titled her Australian Shepherd Luke, with a CD and
RE. IN 2006, KT earned the fourth place National Junior Obedience Australian

and again was ranked in
the top ten juniors for obedience and agility for the UKC Region 5. Through her
continued hard work, KT was ranked in the top ten junior handlers in
showmanship, agility, and obedience for the UKC Region 5 again in 2007. She
also began showing in the AKC Junior Showmanship ring in 2007 and has
accomplished three open class wins and one best junior win so far. She works
daily with her Aussies, Suede and Luke, and her hard work has paid off as she
has earned a UCDX, AGI, and an AGII title with Luke and a UCD, AGI, and an AGII
title with Suede. The newcomer to the family, Miles, a Corgi, is showing
promise under KT's handling. |

KT is an active member of the JPOC Champions 4H group at the
Imperial Polk Obedience Club. She has enjoyed great success in the 4H ring with
many first place wins in all events. 2008 has been a banner year for KT as she
proudly earned the Phyllis White Award with Suede at the 2008 Florida State
Fair 4H Dog Show. She was also awarded the trophy for High Point Intermediate
at the same show. KT is currently working with a professional dog handler to
improve upon her already developed handling skills and learn more about
grooming her dogs for the conformation ring. This knowledge will be invaluable
to KT as she continues to show her own dogs as well as dogs for friends
including Dalmatians, Labrador Retrievers, Chinooks, Corgis, and other Aussies.
When KT is not in the ring with one of her dogs, she is a
straight A student and member of the National Honor Society and Chorus at Blake
Academy in Lakeland, Florida. She also enjoys hanging out with her friends and
spending time with her family. However, most of the time if someone is looking
for KT; she is in the ring at the dog club or getting ready for her next show.
Dog handling is truly her passion!
